Since 1980, Greek Orthodox churches in the Delaware Valley have banded together to provide a youth basketball league. Aside from gaining skills in the game, the league has helped shapes the lives of thousands of boys and girls. The coaches provided life lessons in teamwork, competition, winning and losing with grace, and respect for your fellow competitors.
With so many youth league alumni in the churches, a men's league was established in 2007. In just a few years, the PGBL has elvolved from a fraternity of friends meeting to play some ball into a high competitive league. More importantly, the league has become a Delaware Valley leader in promoting Greek culture and raising funds for philathropic causes.
